Clay Ceramics
My work is inspired by the natural world, its movement, textures, and ability to shape itself freely. My love for nature has spilled into my artistic eye, guiding the way I form and finish each piece. I aim to capture the organic flow and unpredictability that exist in both nature and the creative process.
The blue sculpture represents a stingray, an animal that moves gracefully through its environment. Its fluid form and glossy glaze echo the calm yet powerful rhythm of the ocean. The dark vessel explores growth and transformation through layered textures and deep tones, while the yellow figure connects the human body to the natural world, expressing vitality and motion.
Each piece reflects my desire to blend organic forms with expressive surfaces, allowing clay and glaze to move in ways that feel alive. Through my work, I celebrate how nature continues to influence and shape the way I see and create.
“Drift” captures the fluid, effortless motion of a stingray gliding through water. Its flowing form and glossy blue glaze reflect the calm rhythm and silent strength of the ocean. The piece represents harmony between movement and stillness, inviting viewers to feel the quiet energy of the sea.
“Vital Bloom” merges the human form with the vitality of nature. The figure’s vibrant yellow color and organic patterns represent life, movement, and renewal. Inspired by the natural world’s energy, this piece celebrates the shared rhythm between body and environment.
“Rooted Flow” explores the connection between earth and growth. The textured surface and deep, layered glaze evoke the look of rock, bark, and soil, elements that ground and sustain life. This vessel symbolizes transformation and resilience, revealing beauty in organic imperfection.
“Sentinel of the Soil” captures the form of a lone, ever-watchful eye embedded in layered earthen folds, as if grown from the roots of the earth itself. The textured bands resemble the rings of ancient trees or the stratified layers of canyon rock, recording the passage of time. From within, a single eye emerges, wide, organic, and alive, symbolizing nature’s constant vigilance. It is the gaze of the forest, the desert, the ocean floor, the silent witness to humanity’s presence. Through this piece, nature is not passive, it looks back.
